Cropping

I took some photos last night for Photo Project 1, having checked the brief prior to submitting it says. 'Your shot needs to be exactly as you captured  it at the time'. I understand that you do not want it digitally enhanced however can I crop it?

Good question Barbara, I'll be interested to hear the answer to this one as I too have had issues in project 2 where I really want to crop my shot a little and ideally I'd love to tweak the contrast and colour saturation :-) but I suspect the tutors will say no because I guess they're trying to see if we can get it right in the camera.

In my case, I'm struggling to get close enough to an animal so cropping would really help me get the composition that i'm after, but for now i'm being a good boy and not doing any post processing apart from re-sizing the original of course.

Cheers

Alec

p.s. Is it just me or does it seem quiet in here? :-D

Hi Alec,

As you already know i am looking into why i am not receiving notifications of posts, but that should soon be resolved, apologies again.

My answer is the same as the one i gave to Barbara, please don't use any digital enhancements in both projects 1 and 2 but feel free to crop your image.

Regards,

David.

Hi Barbara,

My apologies for the late reply but for some reason i am not receiving notifications of posts. I have got the technical team on the case so should be resolved very soon.

You are quite correct, we do not want your shot digitally enhanced but you most certainly can crop the image.

Regards,

David.
